It was a thing of joy when Omi-Adio Dil’a staged the second edition of her Annual Ramadan Lecture on Saturday 3rd June 2017. The programme that was well attended by eminent dignitaries within and outside the fold of Ahmadiyya Jama’at was held at Hope Central School Mini Stadium, Omi-Adio Ibadan. All praise be to Allah for the laudable success.
This Annual Ramadan Lecture was chaired by Engr. A.G. Olaleye the former Monatan Circuit President and our Special Guest of Honour, our Sadr (MKAN) Engr. Sa’eed Kunleola Aina ably represented by the Muavin Sadr I Comrade Ishaq Popoola while other two Muhtamin Officers; Bro. Misbaudeen Adekola the Muhtamin Khimat-e-Khalq and Alh. Nurudeen Musa the Muhtamin Tharik-Jadid were also among the Mulk entourage.
The Chief Imam of Omi-Adio community, Fadhilat-ul Sheikh AbdHameed Aladeowo, the Mufassir of the Muslim community Sheikh AbdulLateef Abiola and host of other Non-Ahmadi Muslim heads of various ummah graced the lecture.
The Dil’a Qaid, Bro. Apooyin AbdMujeeb while delivering welcome address expressed his delight that the dil’a has been able to achieve yet another feat in preaching to the whole community the principles and etiquettes of the true Islam. Equally was the Chairman of the occasion’s submission that the Jama’at is reaping the benefits of training its young ones for Ahmadi Youths to have organized Ramadan lecture of such magnitude.
Also in attendance as guest of honour were; Dr. L.A. Omoyele Omi-Adio Circcuit President, Bro. Awe AbdulHakeem the distinguished Oyo Ilaqa Qaid, Missionary Solih Obaditan Omi-Adio Circuit Missionary, Missionary Dhul-Nurain Bello Apata Circuit Missionary and Missionary Ariyo AbdulHakeem Ibadan Circuit Missionary.
Distinguished Missionary Abass Agbaje, the guest lecturer, displayed scintillating level of eloquence and brilliance of logical presentation in handling the topic “Islam Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow” to the delight of all attendees. Thereafter was the beautiful rendition of Ewi Yoruba by Missionary AbdRauf Jimoh while prolonged question and answer session was handled by the three (3) circuit missionaries.
The Tajnid were as follows; 122 Ansarullah members, 78 Khuddam in uniform, 164 Lajna Imahillah, 102 Atfal, 95 Nasrat-ul Ahmadiyya, 68 Non-Ahmadis and altogether summing to 629. The programme ended around 2:30 pm
