AMSA LAUTECH holds APW amid strike


Members of the Ahmadi Muslim Students’ Association (AMSA), Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Unit has held its 2017 edition of the annual propagation week themed ‘Inter Religious Peace:  Our Last Life-Line’ amidst the incessant strike action paralysing academic activities in the school.

This year’s APW was particularly unique as it featured an interreligious peace conference as part of the series of activities lined in the week long event. The conference offered an ample opportunity for adherent of different religious beliefs and ideologies to relate and above all preach the essence of a peaceful coexistence in the society.

Another remarkable feat achieved by the organisers was the revival of the Masroor Ahmad Annual Mathematics Competition (MAMC). The competition which is aimed at helping secondary school students overcome the stereotypical fear attached to mathematics as a subject. The president stated that the previous edition of the competition was canceled due to insurmountable challenges at that time.

He, however, expressed his joy at the successful completion of the APW while also thanking stakeholders who ensured that the event was a success.
