To improve the health conditions of the people mentally, physically and spiritually, Ahmadi Muslim Students’ Association has treated 159 people during its free medical outreach held on 3rd November, 2017 at Ahmadiyya Central Mosque, Shagbe Community, Moniya, Ibadan, Oyo State.

The beneficiaries composed individuals from all age groups, dominated by children and young women. Other beneficiaries were AMSA members at the main event, numbered 50 and they composed mainly young adults.

Meanwhile, the clinical conditions seen by the doctors ranged from simple uncomplicated malaria especially among young children and pregnant women to severe acute asthma in which two clients were rushed to Jaja Clinic at the University of Ibadan and to the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan when the acute asthmatic attack became recurrent.

15 medical personnels were on ground for the outreach: 2 Resident Doctors – Dr Taofeeq Sanni and Dr Abdul Azeez Alli; Dr Abdul Fattah Idris; 2 Pharmacists – Pharmacist Mrs Abdussalam and Pharmacist Ridwan Alausa; Nurses and students from Ogun State College of Health Technology, Ilese.

The programme was sponsored by Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, Nigeria and Humanity First International, Nigeria and Canada as local supports were received from members of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, shagbe.

In another development, Hafiz Abdur Rafeeq Alaka (LASU) has emerged the elected AMSA President, having secured 44 votes out of total 54 votes.

He defeated Bro Khalil-ur-Rahman Abdullah (Unilorin) and Bro Zafrullah Lamina (LASU) who had 6 and 4 votes respectively.
