In line with the Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya Nigeria (MKAN) economic empowerment project aimed at improving economic sustainability and capacity building among its members, MKA Omi-Adio District, in a joint effort with Omi-Adio Circuit has organized a one-day economic seminar and sensitization programme for its members.
The programme, held on Sunday 14th January 2018 at Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, Abidogun Mosque, was tailored towards building self economic reliance and to discourage youths’ unending search for unavailable white collar jobs in line with the Millennium Development Goals (MDG).
The Chairman of the programme, Dr Omoyele, the Circuit President, in his opening address, declared how worrisome the scenario of Nigeria job seekers being inversely proportional to the numbers of the available employment opportunities and the abject level of poverty in the country despite the abundance of natural endowment the country is blessed with.
Two (2) Majlis members were the assigned facilitators of the seminar. The first facilitator, Bro. Ismail Olalekan, sensitized the participants on Small and Medium Scale Enterprises and prerequisites to be considered in setting up any enterprise, while the second facilitator, Bro. Olayinka Qazeem, discussed the production of leavy vegetables and its instant economic benefits.
The programme ended with a record of one hundred and fifty nine (159) participants.
