Amir opens first AMSA LASU Villa


Amir (Head), Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, Nigeria, Dr Mashhud Adenrele Fashola, has opened the first Villa belonging to Ahmadi Muslim Students’ Association, Lagos State University at Igando on 23rd February, 2018.

According to AMSA LASU President, Bro Hammad Towolawi, Amir got to the venue at about past 8 at night to commence the opening of the Villa. He started by praying before cutting the ribbon. At the background were loud voices of Takbir and praises of Ahmadiyya. The Amir inspected the rooms, toilet and kitchen of both male and female wing of the hostel.

In attendance, besides the entourage of Amir who is now a lecturer at the Institution, were: Alimosho Circuit President, Alhaji M.O. Idris; President of AMSA Nigeria, Hafiz Rofeeq Alaka who himself is a member of AMSA LASU and AMSA Lagos President, Bro Zafrullah Lamina who is also a member of AMSA LASU, among others.

Alh. Idris gave a brief speech on what induced the birth of the Villa, solely for the development of the Igando Jama’at as Bro Hammad Towolawi, in his speech, tasked AMSA members on making the best out of the opportunity presented to them.
