Bent on educating its members on major beliefs and tenets of the Jama’at towards making them acquire personal conviction, Ahmadi Muslim Students’ Association, Kwara State has orientated members on the need to become ambassadors of Ahmadiyya during its maiden Tabligh Seminar held between 9th and 10th June, 2018 at Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Mosque, Tanke, Ilorin.
The event had in attendance members from various tertiary institutions in Kwara including the University of Ilorin, Kwara State University, Federal Polytechnic, Offa and Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin.
The programme, which was anchored by Alh. Missionary Muhammad Wa’iz Apooyin, had the following topics extensively discussed: Death of Prophet Isa (as), Prophet Muhammad (saw) as the Seal of all Prophets, Advent of Imam Mahdi (as) and Truthfulness of Imam Mahdi (as).
To make the programme more effective, question and answer session including a session simulating a discuss between an Ahmadi and a non-Ahmadi were introduced. This is to introduce members to real life situations involving brothers in Islam and ways to go about the discussion with the highest level of dignity, modesty and articulation.
The high point of the event was the innovative idea of publicising the event to the outside world by streaming the sessions live on Facebook live @unilorinAmsa. This idea is a first of its kind.
The live streaming was a tremendous success as AMSA was able to transmit the message of Imam Mahdi to thousands of people. We had 834 views, 3493 seen, 19 shared and 34 comments.
