By Raqeeb Akinyemi

Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Lagos State has cleared the blocked drainage at Akute Area of Ogun State as part of its Waqar-e-Amal (Dignity of Labour) held on 15th July, 2018.

No fewer than 70 Majlis members worked on a drainage in the area by clearing it for a free flow of water and refuses which have for long damaged the road for motorists and even passers-by. The diversion of water from the drainage due to blockage is always causing traffic congestion along the road.

A patch on drainage was done as the Majlis laid some bricks to the exact point where the water used to divert through and some members also removed wastes in the drainage and properly disposed the wastes.

The Majlis were very positive that the work well-coordinated by the Nazeem Waqar-e-Amal, Luqman Lamina on the drainage would protect water diversion to the major road and it would benefit the people of Akute community with a lot of positive effects on motorists.

Meanwhile, Waqar-e-Amal (Dignity of Labour) is one of major activities of the Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Nigeria; It is a programme through which members of the majlis give selfless services to communities.
