Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Ogun State has held a public lecture to sensitize members of the public on healthy lifestyle and social welfare as a tool to propagate Islam.

Muhtamin Nao-Mubain, Bro Abdul Hakeem Edun, who represented the Sadr, MKAN, said in his keynote address that members should help and be their brothers’ keepers because the membership of the Jama’at must not dwindle whatever the case. He also highlighted that individuals should ensure to take care of their health.

¬†Thereafter, Dr Nasirdeen Bello gave the first lecture on “Importance of Physical Therapy and Healthy Lifestyle”, where he explained that healthy lifestyles are methods used in ascertaining the humans well-being like eating habit.

He established that being healthy is not necessarily the absence of diseases or infirmity. He then advised that members should exercise well. Exercising well, he said, is when you use all parts of your body always and not necessarily jogging a long mile.

Dr Bello claimed that what is best in exercise is when it is done for 30 mins or more and advised to take sun in the morning because it is vitamin D, and vitamin D aids the strengthening of bones.

Missionary Firdaus Ogundare from Jamiatul Mubashireen, Ilaro delivered the second lecture on Social Welfare: An Indispensable Tool for Effective Propagation of Islam”. He stated that welfare is the act of being concerned with the happiness and goodness of other fellow human beings.

According to him, during the time of the Prophet, there was no social media, yet the prophet converted so many people into Islam. He claimed that a welfare agent must possess some indispensable qualities, which were what the Holy prophet exhibited and made him the delight of all eyes.

He said the the first welfare should begin at home. If you are bad to your family, you will be bad to the society. Anyone who cannot do better to his household would find it difficult to be good to others.

The lecturer quoted a saying of the Holy Prophet (saw): None of you can truly believe unless you love for others what you love for yourself.

He furthered explained that it is forbidden to curse or fight with your brother. For if you can do that to him, you can do it to Christians.
