AMSA FUOYE holds Ramadan Public Lecture, Iftar


The Ahmadi Muslim Students’ Association, Federal University, Oye-Ekiti Unit has held its Ramadan public lecture and Iftar (Feast) at Ogbon Meta Street opposite BEDC Station, Oye-Ekiti on 26th May, 2019.

The lecture titled “Evaluation and Reformation: Our Reflection on Ramadan” was delivered by Ekiti Circuit Missionary, Ustaz Hassan AbdulKareem. 

He highlighted nine points from Hadith and Holy Qur’an stating the expected acts from Muslims for reflections during the holy month of Ramadan.

Ustaz ​Hassan Abdulkareem further explained that moral behaviours and prayers are the true virtues expected of a Muslim as he used various illustrations to explain his points.

He concluded that patience is the greatest virtue mankind should adopt to seek Allah’s mercy.

In his words, the Imam of Ogbon Meta and Seriki Adini, Oye-Ekiti Central Mosque praised the lecturer for his beautiful exposition of the topic as he advised students to be of good conducts during their stay in the institution.
Ado Jama’at President advised AMSA members to invite their friends to such programmes and always attend Jama’at programmes so as to strengthen them morally and spiritually on campus.

The event, which was held in an open ground, had in attendance: President, Ado Ekiti Jama’at, Bro Alawode Bashirudeen; Lajna President, Ado Jama’at, Hajia Falilat Idris; Missionary Gongola; Ekiti State Qaid, Bro. Abdulazeez Abdullateef; Missionary Adebesin AbdulQuadri of Oloje Jama’at who represented Oloje Jama’at President; Jama’at members from Ado Ekiiti, Ogbon Meta Mosque in Oye and other students.

48 people attended the event: 18 male and 13 female AMSA members; 3 Missionaries, 5 Khuddam, 1 Lajna, 1 Ansarullah and 8 local guests.
