By AbdulQuadri Lawal

Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Ipokia District has held its 3-day Atfal assessment and send forth programme at Ahunduro between 5th and 7th July, 2019 with the theme ‘Salat’.

The Children were divided into their various groups for the review of the literature meant for their examination at the forthcoming Atfal Regional Ijtema – A man of God (chapter 15-20) for ages 13-15, The True of Story Jesus Christ (Chapter 4-5) for ages 10-12 and Muslim Festivals and Ceremonies (Pages 41-55) for ages 7-9.

As part of the programme, the Children had an excursion to a Local Factory where Palm Oil is derived manually. Then, a trip to ‘Keret Palm Oil Factory’ Onigbedu, along Itaegbe Road, where more mechanized factory machines are used to derive Palm Oil from the mesocarp (reddish pulp) of the fruit of the oil palm (Elaeis guineensis) was undertaken.

The excursion was indeed a great expedition for the children and handlers; they were taken through all the processes of making palm oil and shown all other by-products gotten from palm kernel by the Manager, Mr Taiwo. He patiently answered all the questions asked by the children.

The children also engaged in educational events such as Qur’an memorisation, Prayer of the Holy Prophet, Qaseedah memorisation, Hadith of the Holy Prophet, etc.

Sport events were also part of the events the children participated in such as football, blind race, athletics and arm wrestling.

On the final day, a symposium was held which featured the closing ceremony, lecture on the Theme of the programme, prize-giving ceremony, send forth ceremony and official graduation/handing over of immediate past Dil’a Motamad to Nazim Ansarullah.

58 Atfal took part in this programme and 16 handlers including Dil’a Officers and Muqam Qaideen.
