AMSA OOU​ holds Orientation Programme


Ahmadi Muslim Students’ Association, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State has held its orientation programme on 31st March, 2019.

In his opening address, the Circuit President, Engr M.A Alli advised​ students​ to focus on their studies, be prayerful, be regular in Jama’at activities and be consistent in paying their Chanda Aam/Wasiyyat.   The first lecture, “Regularities in Jama’at Activities: A Catalyst For Spiritual Development” was delivered by Missionary Asmowiy Raji.

The lecturer urged members to always develop themselves spiritually by attending Jama’at activities and participating in other religious duties, saying that the more members attend activities within the Jama’at, the more their reward with God Almighty.

He further advised that AMSA​ ​ members should be models to other students on campus and in the community.

The second lecture was delivered by Missionary Adeleke Abdullah, on how to calculate CGPA.

The highlight of the programme was the panel discussion on “Islam and Secularism: Impact of Social Media on Academic Achievement” which was anchored by Bro Ismail Raheem with three panelists, Bro Edun Abd Hakeem, Barr Asmowiy Raji and Maulvi Waji’ullah.

At the end of the interactive session, questions were asked by the audience which were duly answered by the panelists.

In Attendance at the event were the Circuit Maulvi, Ijebu/Remo, Ijebu North Circuit President, Association’s patron and several other guests invited.

The orientation programme had a population of 56 members, 31 females and 25 males.
