The maiden South South and South East Majlis Atfal Regional IVC/ Ijtema has been hosted by Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, Orerokpe at Adane-Okpe Primary School, Orerokpe, Delta State between 5th and 9th, 2019.
The event was organised under the auspices of the serving Naib Sadr SS/SE, Bro. Islam Mustafa, while Bro. Suleiman Abu Isa, Edo/Delta Ilaqa Qaid, was the host.
During the programme, Atfal members participated in different activities like: classroom sessions on the ‘Meaning and Importance of Salat and Pre-requisite for Prayer’, sporting activities, indoor games and educational competitions and Qur’an competition, among others.
The Atfal also went for an excursion at the Delta State Broadcasting Station and a visitation to the Orodgie’s (the King of Okpe Kingdom) Palace.
The Ijtema Day celebration and symposium session was held and graced by dignitaries within and outside the Jama’at. Among whom are: Naib Amir, Eastern Region, Dr. Gani Enahoro, Maulvi Ilori Abdullateef, Maulvi Akere Abdulhafeez, Maulvi Zafrullah Mustafa, Missionary Aliyu Jimoh, Missionary Bakare Abdullateef, Missionary Olorunnisomo Abdulhafeez, Missionary Bonojo Monsoor, Missionary Sodiq Ilyas, Missionary Al-Hassan and Bro Ishaq Popoola, representing the MKAN Sadr.
Others are: the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, District Police Officer, Okpe Local Government, Chairman, Okpe Local Government, Secretary, Okpe Local Education Authority and Chairman, Orerokpe Vigilante Group.
Award of participation was also issued to all participants as victors among the children were decorated with prizes won.
The programme was concluded in the early hours of Friday 9th August, 2019 with an attendance of 112 people comprising 80 Atfal, 23 Khuddam (missionaries) and 9 Ansarullah (missionaries).
