Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Oyo Ilaqa has joined other Muslim Organizations in the state to celebrate the Islamic New year amid pomp and pageantry.
A Muslim youth organization, NACOMYO, over the years has taken up the responsibility to stage such programme in a motive to strengthen the unity and brotherhood among Muslim organizations and gather Faithfuls across the state to remember the migration of Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) from Mecca to Medina. The migration, called Hijrah, later became the start of Islamic calendar year.
Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, one of the invited Organizations, however, exhibited discipline and selfless value by championing the course of protocol duty, ensuring that all proceedings were kept in order through untiring efforts. Man O’ War and Congress Guards also complemented the effort and worked together to achieve a crime-free and commotion-free event.
In his statement, Alhaji Ishola charged all Muslim Ummah who gathered at the popular Lekan Salami Stadium to go back to Allah and follow the teachings of Islam.
Other event at the new year celebration was the march pass by primary schools, secondary schools and youth organizations.
Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, in their fitted and unique white and black uniform, also paraded past the dignitaries, showing off their banner which reads No god but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger.
Meanwhile, according to the leader of the MKAN squad, Bro. Hameed Akiode: “We have been taking charge of protocols for a number of years, we don’t just come as a guest.”
Among the notable guests at the event include: Oyo State Deputy Governor, Alh. Engr. AbdurRauf Aderemi Olaniyan; League of Imams and Alfas led by the respected Chief Imam of Ibadan Land, Sheykh AbdulGaniyy Abubakar Agbotomokekere; Hon. Commissioner of Information, Dr. Wasiu Olatunbosun and top officials from both public and private sectors.
Also in attendance was the Naib Muhtamin Umumi (South West) who also doubles as NYCN Coordinator for Ibadan South West LGA, Bro. Qadir AbdusSalam.
