Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Oyo State has organized Taleem and Tarbiyya Seminar between 30th and 31st August, 2019 for new converts into the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.

The significance of a Qur’an verse ‘Allah raises those who believe and those who have been given knowledge many levels (Q58:12)’ spurred the Majlis to organize the programme.

The event was chaired by Oyo State Qaid, Bro Muftaudeen Hussein, ably represented by Oyo State Nazim Tarbiyya, Bro Mubarak Adeleke.

The program was also graced by Ibadan Dil’a Qaid, Bro. Moshood Adenekan, among others, while the lecturers include: Bro Badejo Taofeek, Bro AbdRofeeq Salaam and Bro Abeebullah Agbojo.

The motive of the programme is to integrate new converts and members who have just graduated to the system of Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya officially into the Jama’at, and primarily to orientate them on Salât.

The Chairman Representative, Bro. Mubarak Adeleke, in his welcome address, explained that Salât is a religious observance that believers are commanded to perform throughout the course of their lives, the times of which have been stipulated. As human beings are prone to forgetfulness and heedlessness, if they fail to use their will to be regular and constant in its observance, then they are creating gaps become God and them.

Furthermore, he said that Salât performed five times a day eradicates that forgetfulness and heedlessness and keeps the believers’ wills and awareness alive as it ensures that a believer constantly turns to Allah and assists him in living in the light of his Lord’s commandments.

Also, the participants were also encouraged to be reading Jama’at literatures.

The seminar, which have 23 attendees, featured: Types of Salat and How to Observe them; Importance of Salat; Practical Demonstration of Salat; Benefits of Writing Letter to Huzur(atba) and Huzur Sermon.

The topics were judiciously dealt with as Salât was explained in the light of some Qur’an quotations and Hadith that a believer who stands in the presence of Allah in order to pray establishes a powerful spiritual bond with his Lord. It is revealed in one verse that Salat reminds people of Allah and keeps them from all forms of evil.

Lastly, as Allah enunciates in the Holy Qur’an, “Recite what has been revealed to you of the Book and establish Salât, Salât precludes indecency and wrongdoing and remembrance of Allah is greater still.
