The office of Sehat-e-Jismani (Fitness and Wellness), Ahmadi Muslim Youth Organization (Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya), Osun State has begun the football training sessions for its players following the fixtures released by the Mulk ahead of the forthcoming National Youth Convention.
The state would play its first match against Kogi State, the defending champion at the convention (Ijtema), holding at Offa, Ilorin in April 2020.
The training session which took place at Unity-Fakunle High School, Osogbo, had in attendance 15 players, and according to the youth state leader (Qaid), Bro Nurudeen Abdulateef, more players are expected to join.
The team also prepared to honour the friendly match requested by Osogbo District Majlis Ansarullah slated for 8th February, 2020.
The State Qaid has also made arrangement for the team to play friendly matches against the First Bank of Nigeria Osun State Football Team, Olasoore International School, Iloko and Central Bank of Nigeria Osogbo Football Team, among others.
He said the team’s target is to lift the trophy for the first time at this year’s MKAN National Ijtema Insha Allah.
In another development, no less than 83 Ahmadi Male Kids (Majlis Atfal-ul-Ahmadiyya) have attended a three-day monthly camp organized by Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Organization (Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya), Apata District between 17th and 19th January, 2020.
According to the organizer, the monthly camp focuses on the development of young Ahmadi boys morally and academically through inculcating modesty and the provision of educational and Islamic trainings.
While the children were grouped into three phases based on their ages, the highlights of the event include: camp registration, review of Atfal syllabus, recitation and memorization of the Holy Qur’an, learning of Hadith and Qaseedah, educational events, Atfal meeting, sports, examinations, Salatul Tahajjud and others.
At the end of the 3-day camp, the children who performed excellently were awarded prizes.
