The Amir, Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Nigeria, Alhaji Azeez Alatoye, the new Sadr (Leader) Majlis Khuddamul-Ahmadiyya Nigeria, Bro Roqib Akinyemi and Naib Sadr Admin (NSA), Bro AbdulRahman Musa have joined MKAN Osun State for this year’s Ride for Peace held on 14th November, 2021.
The yearly peaceful campaign which began in 2016 is aimed at uniting Nigerians and promoting love and brotherhood among Nigerians while extending the peaceful teachings of Islam to all Nigerians.
The State Ride For Peace, which started at Osogbo township Stadium and ended at Ahmadiyya Osogbo Central Mosque, was successful as members trooped out to preach love, brotherhood, peace and unity to the residents of Osogbo.
Thousands of literatures and pamphlets were shared as the youths rode around the nooks and crannies of the town.
In his speech, the Amir Sahib ably represented by Pa Salawu Abdul Kareem explained the importance of Ride For Peace exercise and praised the leadership of Majlis Khuddamul-Ahmadiyya for sustaining the yearly exercise since its inception. He further briefed the pressmen of the activities of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Nigeria in education, healthcare and skill development.
Meanwhile, in his address, the Sadr Sahib emphasised the need for organising the programme: to promote peace and unity in the country, while highlighting various MKAN activities in the country in supporting nation-building and development.
He also took the opportunity to refute false allegations against Islam as a religion of terrorism. He, therefore, encouraged people to be peace-loving.
The former Lagos State Qaid praised Osun State Majlis for its financial sacrifice in the course of Islam particularly their timely donations towards the 2021 MKAN Ijtema held virtually. He further enjoined them to keep this positive attitude.
Furthermore, the Sadr assured the Majlis that Allah has promised them great rewards for their sacrifices, hence, they should not relent.
The NSA, in his remarks, persuaded the Majlis members to support the new Imarat (administration) that would be coming into office, as he advised the Majlis to do self-assessments, keep doing what they have been doing right and make amendments where possible.
On the last note, Sadr Sahib presented awards to MKAN members in Osun who had performed excellently in various competitions as a mark of recognition of their valuable contributions to the state.
Dignitaries at the event include: ADYAN State President, Comr. Karim Taofeeq; NYCN Osun State Chairman, Comr. Ismail Abd Azeez; State Maulvi and Maulvi Bello Mubarak.
Others are Muhtamin Aitemaad, Bro Fashina Idris; Muhtamin Maal, Bro Bello Ahmed; Muhtamin Sihat-e-Jismani, Bro Talabi Ahmad and Muhtamin Isha’at, Bro Lawal Rotimi Ismail.
