Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Omi-Adio Dil’a, in a bid to redefine the training and upbringing of young Ahmadi children, has organised its second Atfal Day Celebration held on 26th November, 2017 at Owode Estate Open Field.
The event, first held on 23rd November, 2014, had the theme “Re-defining Children’s Upbringing: the Catalyst to Re-modelling a Morally-Stinking Society”. It was chaired by Sadr, Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Nigeria, Engr Saheed Aina.
In his welcome address, the Dil’a Zaiq Atfal, Tifl AbdFatah Yahya expressed his appreciation to Majlis Khuddam for organising the event. He then explained that Majlis Atfal perceived Atfal Day Celebration as a practical demonstration by concerned stakeholders that the future of the Jama’at and the society at large belongs to the children and helping them to guide this future jealously.
While tasking the parents, he said: “To cope with the complexities of modern societies, our parents must be ready to equip us with moral and spiritual training better than the stuffs they themselves are parading now so that we, children, may be able to handle the ever evolving society.”
The Chairman of the occasion, Engr. Sa’eed Aina, after the review of Atfal’s welcome parade where he was flanked by Oyo State Qaid, Bro. Awe AbdHakeem, delivered his opening speech where he showered encomium on the entire Omi-Adio Circuit for the support they are rendering to Majlis Khuddam at its level while urging Majlis Khuddam not to relent in the continuous training of the children being our mandate.
The Sadr Sahib tasked the parents to go extra length in training Ahmadi children for them to be capable of handling moral reformation our larger society is in dire need.
Muallim Muhammad Wa’iz Apooyin delivered a thought-provoking lecture on the theme of the programme. Other programmes the children participated in include: Qur’an Competition, Inter-House Presentation, News Presentation, Inter Dil’a Match Past, 100m Race, Spelling B Competition, Concentration Race among others.
Dignitaries who attended the event are: Chairman, Oyo State Circuit Forum ably represented by Pa. Rahman Salaudeen; Omi-Adio Circuit President, Dr Omoyele; Circuit Missionary, Muallim Solih Obaditan; Chief Imam, Omi-Adio Community, Fadhilat-e-Sheikh AbdLateef Abiola; Apata Circuit President, Alh. Taslim Oniyide and Alh. F.K. Apooyin. Others include Hafiz Idowu Sodiq, Naib Mutamad II; Bro. Saheed Ayandele, Naib Muhtamin Atfal I and Bro. Alaran AbdAzeez, Naib Muhtamin Atfal II; Oyo State Dil’a Qaideen and State Officers.
169 Atfal, 39 invited Atfal, 130 Lajna members, 126 Ansarullah, 96 Majlis Khuddam members attended the event.
