Oyo State attends NYCN Leadership Conference


Six delegates of Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Oyo State on Thursday, 8th February, 2018 joined other goal-oriented youths in Oyo State to attend a one-day leadership conference organized by the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Oyo State Chapter.

The programme, which addressed issues on Public Administration and Administrative Services, Importance of Financial Management, Vocational Skills, Business Plan Writing, Grant and StartUp Funding, among others, was aimed at bringing out the best in youths’ leadership qualities and charisma.

In attendance at the event were distinguished personalities of the public civil service in the State and experts in different fields who did justice to the lectures.

One of the sessions that caught the interest of a significant number of the attendees was the one taken by a fellow of Tony Elumelu Foundation Grant for Entrepreneurs who won a huge amount of money for an impressive idea he created. The fellow, Mr. Fidelis B. Uzoma, enlightened the participants on ways to successfully achieve their goals while creating ideas and looking out for funding to drive such ideas. He also stated that the ability to think out of the box and creating ideas that are technical in nature are essential tools for winning a grant. He noted that having faith in God after one’s hardwork is a sure way to success.

Certificates were presented to the various delegates who attended the programme. Meanwhile, MKAN delegates were Bro Moshood Adenekan (Ibadan Dil’a), Bro Saheed Salahudeen (Monatan Dil’a), Bro Rasheed Animasaun (Coca-Cola Dil’a), Bro Yusuf Agbaje (Coca-Cola Dil’a) and Ousein Jelil (Coca-Cola Dil’a).
