Five delegates of Oyo State chapter of the Majlis Khuddam Ahmadiyya Nigeria participated in the first quarter of the year Personality Profile Programme organized by the Oyo State National Youth Council of Nigeria(NYCN) on Wednesday 28th February 2018.
The programme which was held at the House of Chiefs Parliament, Oyo State House of Assembly Complex in Ibadan is an initiative under the leadership of Comrade Bolaji Agbeja to sensitize the youths across the state on the need to imitate the successes of some individuals within the State
The February quarter brought in the immediate past Head of Service of Oyo State Government Mr. Soji Eniade who was recently appointed as the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Administration as guest personality. While delivering his keynote speech, Mr Eniade reiterated the need for youths to summon courage and takes the mantle of administrative power. He noted that some of Nigeria’s heroes were youth at the time of their struggle for Nigeria.
He however explained that it was necessary for youths to be focused, acquire skills and shun the pressure of getting a white-collar job. He enjoined every youth to focus less on social media propaganda and get their Permanent Voters Card to participate in governance.
In attendance at the event were the Hon. Commissioner for Youth and Sports Barr. Abayomi Oke, the Acting Executive secretary of Oyo state Agency for Youth Development Alhaja Adegbola and former Oyo State NYCN Chairman Comrade Akeem Babalola amongst others.
MKAN delegates Bro. Qadir Abdussalam and Bro. Animasaun Abdul Rasheed who was recently appointed as a member of the Publicity Committee of Oyo State NYCN contributed the success of the programme in their roles as moderator and social media handlers respectively.
