In line with Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya Nigeria (MKAN) initiative, the Oke-Oloro Muqami in Omi-Adio Dil’a on 21st February, 2018 embarked on ‘Stop the Crime Campaign’ to sensitize secondary school students at Ibadu-Rahman Model Secondary School Omi-Adio on the need to abstain from all forms of crime.
The Muqami Qaid Bro. Ibrahim Ayinla led 7 other members of the Majlis Khuddam to accomplish the campaign while the Dil’a Tabligh secretary Bro. Kolapo Sharafadeen represented the State Tabligh Office
Facilitator at the campaign Bro. Qasim Olayinka who was supported by one Dil’a representative Bro. Olalekan Ismail made use of different instructional materials to educate the 85 students present in the hall on the need to abstain from crime and other related activities. The exercise which lasted for about 50 minutes engaged the students with different illustrations of individuals who have been arrested for participating in criminal activities.
Some teachers in the school while commending the effort of the Majlis Khuddam Ahmadiyya described the campaign as a round peg in the round hole considering the current predicament in Nigeria, where very young individuals were found indulging in various criminal activities.
The Proprietor of the school, Mrs. Oladipupo Sekinat in her speech applauded the effort of the organizers noting that the use of pictorial representation for the facilitation is in line with the trends in national education curricula. According to her, our society must support educational system in various positive forms for the sector to be capable of building individuals that will uphold the moral values of the society.
