Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Ikorodu District has attended the Mosque Donation event by a non-Ahmadi woman to Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, Ikorodu Circuit on 2nd June, 2018 at Igbo-Olomu, Agric, Owutu, Ikorodu.
The woman, Alhaja Oluwaseun M. Keshinro, donated the mosque, which is on a full 60 by 120 plot of land after listening to one of Jama’at’s programmes on radio.
The mosque was handed over to the Jama’at through an agreement signed by Alhaja M. Keshinro and family (donor) and Ahmadiyya Jama’at with the handing over of the documents of the said property.
The woman also donated her big generator and her resident building at the back of the mosque alongside the Mosque to the Ahmadiyya Jama’at. She, however, said that a year after she has passed away, Ahmadiyya Jama’at should take over her resident building together with the mosque.
The 78-year old woman had the plan to raise the mosque to two storey building having decked the first floor. She also has the following materials on ground: 250 bags of cement, 60 tons of grand net, 300 tons of iron rods, 60 tons of sharp sand and planks worth of #300,000 for decking of the second floor. The woman has spent an amount close #20million or more before deciding to donate the mosque to Ahmadiyya Jama’at.
The dignitaries present at the signing/donation event include: Circuit President, Circuit Missionary, Ikorodu, Ijede and Ibeshe Jama’ats’ Presidents, Missionary Showemimo from Bayeku, Missionary Abdulbasit from Ibeshe, Ikorodu Dil’a Qaid, Surveyor Ajijola, Lawyer AbdulSalam representing the Headquarters and other members of Ikorodu Circuit while the other party members are: Alhaja M. keshinro, her first son, second daughter and last born.
