AMSA FPA holds maiden Ramadan Lecture, Iftar

By Yusuff Abdulateef

Ahmadi Muslim Students’ Association, Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti Unit has held its first Ramadan Lecture and Iftar at ABA Mosque close to FCT Villa on 3rd June, 2018.

The lecturer, Bro. Ismaeel AbdusSalam, who talked on ‘The Significance of Ramadan in Human Life’, explained that Ramadan serves as a means to become pious servants of God.

The AMSA Ekiti State Ta’leem/Tarbiyyah Secretary highlighted some benefits of fasting as: the reward is solely given by God and the remembrance of Allah increases one’s fear of Allah, while urging Muslims not to limit their act of kindness and goodness only in this month and to observe solat at appointed time.

In his remarks, Ado Jama’at President and Circuit Secretary, Bro. Alawode said the members should avoid hypocrisy by discussing the lapses of their leaders as well as making jest of them.

He said that members can correct leaders politely rather than discussing them in absentia because no one is perfect, positing that this can lead to attaining the highest spiritual realm.

AMSA President, Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti, Bro. Yusuff Abdulateef, appreciated everyone who made it to the programme, asking everyone to be more committed and supportive.

25 people (10 males and 15 females) attended the programme.
