AMSA EKSU holds maiden Ramadan Lecture, Iftar

Determined to educate Muslim faithful about the significance of Ramadan, Ahmadi Muslim Students’ Association, Ekiti State University Chapter has held its first Ramadan Lecture with Iftar on 10th June, 2018 at Shonibare Student Mosque at Iworoko, Ekiti.

The lecture was delivered by the Circuit Missionary, Muallim Hassan Abdul Kareem on the topic “Teachings of Ramadan: the Way Of Life”.

According to him, good deeds do not end in Ramadan. Believers should endeavour to continue doing good to earn the pleasure of Allah. Among the deeds are uttering of good words, adhering strictly to Allah’s commandments and waking up regularly for Tahajjud among others.

Muallim Hassan also emphasized on Zakatul Fitr that students can also participate in. Later, questions and answers were done which brought about the issue of Lailatul Qadr – where to find it, how the prophet did it in his life time and how it is being done today in most places.

The programme had in attendance Ekiti Circuit President, Alhaji Rasheed Lawal, Ado Jama’at President, Bro Alawode Bashirudeen and State Qaid, represented by Naib Qaid, Bro Musa Muhammed coupled with members of the Majlis.

The total attendance was 94 (36 females and 58 males, out of which only 10 are AMSA members).
