COTACH LASU 2018: NTRA invites two AIMAAN Referees

Recently, the Nigeria Taekwondo Referee Association has invited two members of AIMAAN Taekwondo Referee Association (ATRA) to officiate in the 4th Edition of Collegiate Taekwondo Championship (COTACH) held at Lagos State University, Ojo between 2nd and 4th August, 2018.

The two referees were Master Dawud Ashade and Master (Missionary) Abdul Fattah Tijani while AIMAAN members who are students of the Institution participated in various events.

Besides, two members of ATRA, Master Abdur Raqeeb Arowora and Master (Missionary) Abdul Fattah Tijani, were also invited to officiate in the 7th Inspector General of Police Taekwondo Championship tagged (IGP 2018).

The AIMAAN Players who participated in the competition, held at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, also won medals: 2 Gold, 1 Silver and 3 Bronze.

The players include: Aminat Idris (Poomsae, Bronze); Abdul Lateef Adegoke (58kg, Silver); Waliyah Orobiyi (46kg, Bronze); Nuru-Raheem Shoboyede (87kg, Bronze); Sadiq Ashiru (89kg, Gold) and Ibrahim Idris (74kg, Gold).

Also, two members of ATRA, Master Abdur Raqeeb Arowora and Master Dawud Ashade, were invited by NTRA to officiate in the Agoma Open Taekwondo Championship held between 11th and 12th May, 2018 at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

Also in October 2015, some members of AIMAAN participated in a Taekwondo Referee Course held at Ahmadiyya Headquarters, Ojokoro, Lagos between 9th and 11th.

Then, a Refresher Course was organized by the Nigeria Taekwondo Federation between 9th and 10th May, 2018 at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, as another Refresher Course was organized on 25th July, 2018 at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos owing to three giant Taekwondo competitions to come up later.
