Welfare Week: Abeokuta District donates blood, visits remand home, hospital

Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Abeokuta District has donated 3 pints of blood and visited remand home and hospital as parts of activities to mark its welfare week on 1st November, 2018.

Basically, the team visited Federal Medical Centre, Idi Aba, Abeokuta and Borstal Training Institution of the Nigeria Prisons, Adigbe, Abeokuta.

In his address at Borstal Training Institution, the Dil’a Qaid, Bro Saheed Adelakun stated to the inmates the purpose of the Majlis’ visit and explained that the organisation was geared towards youth development morally, socially, physically and spiritually with a view to preparing them for future challenges and to instilling discipline among the youths.

In his own lecture at the institution, Shokunbi Abd’Akeem advised the inmates never to feel dejected as a result of their present status rather, they should be full of enough Istigfar (forgiveness) and see the institution as an avenue for their rehabilitation. He also encouraged them to observe their daily prayers.

Abdullah applauded the Majlis on behalf of others amidst 120 inmates for the welfare tour of the institution.

Besides, Majlis donated two dozens of slippers, a carton of detergent, four rolls of toothbrush, three packs of toothpaste and three gallons of Izal to the inmates.

In another development, the organisation also paid similar visitation to Federal Medical Centre, Idi Aba, Abeokuta where an Ansarullah member from Ibadan, Pa Akano Akintayo was admitted owing to an accident.

The visited members prayed for his quick recovery and also donated three pints of blood to Pathology Department of the Centre.
