Welfare Week: Monatan District visits DPO, elders, widows, others

Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya,  Monatan Dil’a, as part of activities to mark its welfare week, has visited the Divisional Police Officer, some elders, widows, the sick and the bereaved in a programme held between 2nd and 3rd November 2018.

The members paid a courtesy visit to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Mr. Ibrahim Khalid in his office at Alabebe Divisional Headquaters, Monatan. He warmly welcomed the youths and was briefed about the objectives of MKAN to the community.

In his talk, he discussed the different ways to uphold the habits of virtue as we protect ourselves by securing our immediate community. Later, the Majlis presented some editions of the magazine ‘Reviews of Religion’ to him to widen his understanding about Islam.

In continuation of the visit, the Majlis also visited the homes of some elders in the Jama’at which include Monatan Circuit President, Alh. Munir Adeagbo. He praised the youths for the visit.

Alh. A. G. Daramola was also visited. He advised the youths never to relent on the welfare services.

Two widows, Alhaja Salam, alias ‘Iya Eleja’ and Mrs. Apooyin were also visited in their homes. They were amazed when receiving the Khuddam in their respective residential places.

Naib Muhtamin Tarbiyyah, Bro. Taofeek Ajibade and Naib State Qaid, Alh. Ibrahim Atiba were also paid courtesy visits.

Besides, the Majlis also visited members who are ill in their homes. Former National Tarbiyya Secretary, AMJN, Alh. A. G. Ahmad and Alh. A. G. Salahudeen, popularly known as ‘Imam Aremo’ who are both ill were visited. The members urged the Jama’at to remember them in prayers.

A member, Bro. Wakeel Adeyemi, who lost his wife about eight months ago, leaving behind a child was paid a visit which was highly appreciated. The Jama’at was happy that he’s recovering from the loss.

The house of Bro. AbdulMujeeb Kamorudeen was also visited. He is a Khadim who just recovered medically. He profoundly appreciated the gestures.

Also, the Majlis went to Smaria Hospital, Idi-Osan to distribute some gifts to patients and staff.

The patients were encouraged and prayers were offered for their quick recovery.
