Amir, Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, Nigeria, Alh. (Dr.) Mashhud Adenrele Fashola has paid courtesy visitations to Abeokuta Circuit and Ogun State Television (OGTV) on 23rd November, 2018, where a recording of the popular programme, ‘Hot Seat’ was taken as well as issues relating to Ahmadiyya motto ‘Love For All, Hatred For None’ were trashed out.
The programe is to be rebroadcast on Wednesday afternoon. The Jama’at spiritual head in Nigeria also seized the avenue to showcase the forthcoming annual gathering of the Jama’at, the 66th of its kind to the public.
In his reaction, the Deputy General Manager (programmes) of the media station, Mr. Festus Kehinde appreciated the Amir and his entourage for the visit and wished them a fruitful deliberations at this year 2018 Jalsa Salana. Prayers were also offered by the Amir for the entire management of the station.
Immediately after leaving the broadcasting house, Dr. Fashola and his entourage were being led to the residence of former Calabar Jama’at President, Alh. Mustapha Hassan at Oke Lantoro for a breakfast after which they had a bit relaxation before proceeding to Iberekodo, Abeokuta.
The visitation by the Amir was a special one in the history of Abeokuta Circuit as he (Amir) led the Jumat Prayer at Iberekodo where he admonished the congregation on the negative effect of too much drinking and eating, citing references from the Holy Qur’an and Hadith.
Shortly after the Jumat Service, the spiritual leader charged the congregation to believe in the power of prayer. He said further that the community is known for her steadfastness and nothing more. Amir added that it is prayer that worked for the people in the past and it is still working up till this time. Dr. Fashola finally prayed for Nigeria especially at this critical time when general election is fast approaching.
Meanwhile, a very prominent and active member of Abeokuta Circuit, Pa. Ahmad Omitola, has donated a complete building near the mosque to the Jama’at.
Receiving the documents of the building in the presence of the congregation in the mosque and to everyone’s surprise, Dr. Fashola could not hide his joy as he showered blessings on Pa. Omitola for his monumental contribution to the Jama’at aspecially when the Jama’at is in dire need of residence for her missionaries.
