Ahmadis Won Medals in 19th NSF

At least 6 members of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, Nigeria have participated in Taekwondo during the 19th National Sports Festival held between 6th and 16th December, 2018 at Abuja.

 The two members from Oyo State were Bro. Fehintola AbdRahman who represented Kebbi State and Bro Zakariyyah AbdRahman who represented Kwara State.

Fehintola fought -80kg category (Heavyweight) and won 3 fights before he was defeated in his 4th fight, while Zakariyyah participated in the -70kg category (lightweight). He won 4 fights but was later defeated in semifinal. He later won Bronze medal for Kwara State.

Similarly, Idris Amina and AbdulRazak Khadijah represented Lagos State won Silver medals in Poomsae Female category. Idrees Amina also won Bronze in individual Poomsae female competition. Arowora Abdul Roqeeb and Idris Amina won Silver medal in Poomsae paired category.

Arowora Abdul Roqeeb won Gold medal in team Poomsae male event, silver in paired Poomsae event and bronze medal in individual male poomsae event

Sanusi Abdul Mujeeb another Ahmadi brother that represented Delta State won silver medal in flyweight 54kg category.

After completion of the National Sport Festival, Delta State emerged the best overall with highest numbers of medals and Edo State won the hosting right for the competition in 2020.
