Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Apata District has screened not less than 59 people on various health challenges during its one-day free medical screening held at Odo Ona on 12th January, 2019.
The District had earlier organized her monthly public lecture in the same location.
The free medical screening was anchored by medical experts, Mrs Dhunurain and Mrs Afolabi. A health talk was also given by the medical personnels before the commencement of the medical tests.
The fifty-nine persons were screened for fasting blood sugar, malaria parasite, blood pressure and test for protein in urine. Those who had defects in their test results were advised to be watchful of their diets and also encouraged them to exercise regularly. They were thereafter, referred to the hospital for further diagnosis and treatments.
The exercise, which lasted for about four hours, was graced by some elders in the community. They expressed their sincere appreciation to the Majlis for bringing such an important programme to their community. Some members of the community also donated some items to ensure the medical screening was hitch-free.
In his comment, the Dil’a Qaid, Bro M. Gafar appreciated MKAN members for their turnout and selfless service; he also urged them to be more proactive in Jama’at activities as there are enormous blessings in doing so.
