Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Ojokoro Muqam, Plateau Ilaqa and Osogbo Dil’a have engaged in community development services by filling potholes and clearing drainages to mark their Waqar-e-Amal (Dignity of Labour).
23 Majlis members and one Lajna from Ojokoro Locality participated in the exercise which involved filling of potholes at Terigilo and Ahmadiyya Street on 9th March, 2019.
The Majlis worked on potholes which caused damages to vehicles that plied the road.
In addition, during the community service, traffic was controlled by Majlis members, just as community people were very happy while some of the car users showed their appreciation by greeting and praying for the participants.
In a related development, Plateau Ilaqa held its Waqar-e-Amal by clearing drainages at Baba Ayan Community, Jos, Plateau on 3rd March, 2019.
A team of 10 members stormed the community with different working tools to clear the drainages in preparation for raining season.
The job would allow the free flow of water and prevent flooding in the community.
Osogbo District, on its own, held its Waqar-e-Amal which involved filling of potholes and clearing of grasses at Woleola Area, Old Governor’s Office, Osogbo on 3rd March, 2019.
At the early hour of Sunday, a group of 30 Majlis members embarked on an exercise featuring channelling of drainage, cutting of grasses and filling of erosionally-damaged motorable parts with blocks and sacks of sands.
This exercise was carried out to ease movement of vehicles on the road and prevent flooding which would be beneficial to the entire community members as there would be an odour-free environment coupled with an amended and manageable motor path for all.
