Osun State holds mini-Ijtema, unveils new sports jersey


Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Osun State has held its mini-Ijtema at Honesty Secondary School, Iwo between 29th and 30th March, 2019 in preparation for the forthcoming National Convention.

The event had 50 Khuddam in attendance.

The first lecture titled “Who is Trustworthy?” was delivered by Alh. Ibrahim Adejinmi.

Some events held include: Indoor games, educational events, Qur’an Competition, Qaseedah, Speech Contest, Dart, Arm Wrestling, 100 metres, 200 metres, 4×100 metres, concentration race, Quiz competition, message delivery, scrabble, table tennis, Taekwondo and football.

Furthermore, the event’s symposium was held with match past parade by 5 Dil’at. The State Qaid and invited guests inspected the parade.

Key two lectures were delivered during the symposium by Dr. Lukman Sunmonu of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun State and Missionary Muh’d Wais Apooyin on ‘Dealing with Trust in Leadership-Followership Relationship’ and ‘The Need for Trust in an increasingly Deceptive World’ respectively.

As part of the event, a new sports jersey, donated by a family to the Majlis and as well as a football donated by former Amir, Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, Nigeria, Alh, H.O Sunmonu were officially unveiled by Hon. Olanrewaju Abdulazeez, a Member of Osun State House of Assembly.

The Chairman of the programme, former Osun State Qaid, Alh. Hon. Musliudeen Bello, in his remarks, charged Osun team to be the best in the forthcoming MKAN Ijtema holding in Lagos.

Among the dignitaries that witnessed the occasion are: Pioneer State Qaid of Osun Osun, Mr. Adewale Ismail; Alh. Yakub Oni; Mr. Nurain Omoniyi, former Osogbo Circuit President; Circuit Missionary Ede; Circuit Missionary Ife; Nazim Ansarullah Osogbo; Sadr, Lajna Imaillah District IV; Iwo Jama’at President and others.

In his closing remarks, the State Qaid briefed the audience on the mini-Ijtema activities and applauded all Majlis members for their cooperation, support and commitment.

During the prize presentation, Dada Estate Muqam received the prize for Best Muqam while Osogbo Dil’a emerged the Best District. The Most Valuable Officer was State Motamad, Bro. Akintayo AbdulWaheed as the Best Supervisor went to Illa Dil’a Qaid, Bro. Ismaeel Salawudeen.

The Proprietor and Imam of the Honesty School appreciated the Majlis for donating Standing fan and Jama’at Literature books to the school.

He further appreciated the unique method in which Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at delivered highly spiritual lectures through the media.

The Ede Circuit Missionary prayed for more power to the elbow of the school management as the school was given to the Majlis free of charge.
