The Missionary In-Charge, Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, Nigeria, Maulvi Afzal Ahmad Rauf has toured Edo/Delta Ilaqa between 5th and 10th April, 2019.
The tour, which was aimed at sensitizing and encouraging members on the need to reflect on their characters and behaviours towards people around them.
In his statement, The MIC encouraged members to improve in their Tabligh and Tarbiyya programmes.
During the tour which lasted six days, he visited all the Jama’ats in the state including all the lands donated by members to the Jama’at for the purpose of building mosques.
The Missionary In-Charge was accompanied by Maulvi Abdullateef Ilori, Central Missionary Edo/Delta; Alhaji S.W. Egwa, Benin Jama’at President; Dr. Y.A. Habeeb, Naib Amir Northern Region and the Royal Iyase of Udo, Benin City, among others.
During the visits, the foundation stones of new mosques at Udo and Ikhueniro, Agbor Road, Benin City were laid.
The MIC donated the sum of #200,000 towards the construction of the Mosque at Ikueniro, Agbor Road in the memory of his late father.
Likewise, he commissioned the new mosque built in Ikhua-Jagbe Jama’at.
The Jama’ats visited include: Igobazuwa, Benin, Ekae, Iviebua, Ivianokpodi, Iviukhua, Iviukwe, Irhekpa, Imiegba, Auchi and Orsomheke, Ihievbe. Ikhua-Jagbe, Eko-Habeeb, Agbede, Imiokono, Olinlin, Warri and Orerokpe Jama’ats, while members visited are Agbarah-Otor L, Enogie of Ogida in Benin, Barr. R. A. Muhammad and Edo State Commissioner of Police, among others.
