Ekiti holds State Convention

Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Ekiti State has held state convention on 7th April, 2019 to prepare its members for the National Ijtema (Convention) holding at Yaba, Lagos State with the theme ‘Tabligh’.

The opening lecture, which had in attendance Nazim Ansarullah, Ado Ekiti, Mr Yusuf Tajudeen and Circuit Missionary, was delivered by Muallim Hassan Abdulkareem on the topic “Leadership and Followership: Fulfilling the Relationship as Trust”.

 In his lecture, he explained the qualities of a leader and a follower and how to maintain trust between the individuals with reference from the Qur’an and Hadith narrations.

At the night of the first day, indoor games which include arm wrestling and message delivery were done.

Another lecture was held on “Fulfilling the Khuddam Pledge” on the second day, delivered by Bro. Alawode Bashirudeen, Ado Jama’at President.

In his lecture, he took time to expound on the essence and responsibilities required for fulfilling the Khuddam pledge.

Besides, track and field events were held, namely 100m, 200m 400m and football, while other indoor games – dart and scrabble also took place.

As part of the event, a peace walk was done by all Majlis members and a public lecture was organised by Ado Jama’at which had all members in attendance.

The last day featured a question and answer session which was anchored by the Tabligh Department, as quiz competition and march past training were also done.

During the closing ceremony, Dr Ahmad Abdulganiyy delivered a lecture on “Attaining and Sustaining Piety”. He took time to expound on the topic while making references to the Holy Qur’an and Hadith.

The closing event had in attendance the Circuit President, Alhaji Lawal Abdulrasheed, Circuit Missionary, Muallim Hassan Abdulkareem, Nazim Ansarullah, Dr Oderinu Taofeeq and Ado Jama’at President, Mr Alawode Bashirudeen.

A question and answer session was held and Majlis members were advised to be serious-minded and attend the forthcoming National Ijtema with lots of prizes back home.
