Amir, Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, Nigeria, Dr. Mashhud Adenrele Fashola and Sadr, Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Nigeria, Engr. Saheed Aina have attended the annual grand Ramadan lecture organized by Oyo State Majlis at Housing Open Field, Beside Old Bodija Estate Central Mosque, Awolowo Way, Old Bodija, Ibadan, Oyo State on Saturday 18th May, 2019.
The theme of the lecture was “Establishing Global Peace” delivered by Dr. Saheed Olurotimi Timehin, the National Preaching Secretary.
In his welcome address, the State Qaid, Bro Hussein Muftau welcomed all participants, while highlighting the need for the unity and peaceful co-existence among Muslim faithfuls.
The lecturer, Dr Timehin, discussed in details the need for global unity, pathway to attaining peaceful co-existence amongst our global community.
He however reiterated that to attain global peace, no country should hold her position or status higher than the other, which could be termed racial arrogance.
He maintained that most pledges of countries have messages of peace but the citizens of those countries never toed the line of peace.
His words: “If we want peace in plethora, from the innermost corner where we dwell, we should establish peace with our acquaintances.”
Dignitaries in attendance are: Alh M. Adeoye, Chairman, Circuit President Forum; Circuit Presidents across Oyo State and Chairman, Traders Association of Oyo State.
Others are: Lajna Imaillah members from Mulk, District and Local Jama’at; Chairman, NYCN, Oyo State Chapter and Comrade (Mrs) Agbeja Adebobola.
Moreover, question and answer session was held as distinguished guests gave their remarks.
