Ahmadi Muslim Youth Organization (Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya), Akinyele District has orientated the students of Aponmode High School, Moniya, Ibadan on the dangers of crimes during its stop the crime campaign held on 12th March, 2020.
Basically, the students were sensitized on cyber crime, its effects and the reasons they should avoid crimes.
The students asked some questions such as: What is the penalty for cybercrime in Nigeria? When a father is having sexual intercourse with his daughter, can we call 112? How can we live without making crime? Appropriate answers were provided by the facilitators.
The school authority appreciated the Majlis, noting how timely a sensitization campaign of this kind was with respect to high rate of criminal activities among secondary school students.
Meanwhile, in his speech, the Vice Principal, who spoke on behalf of the school authority, lauded the efforts of the MKAN, stating the impact which the sensitization campaign will have in the lives of the students.
He, however, charged the Majlis not to hesitate in bringing the programme to the school subsequently.
No fewer than 500 students benefited from the campaign which lasted for two hours.
