In a bid to rid the society of criminal acts among youths, Majlis Khuddamul-Ahmadiyya, Anfani, Imalefalafia and Keulere Muqameen (Localities) have orientated not less than 300 junior and senior students of Adem Secondary School, Molete, Ibadan, Oyo State during their Stop the Crime Campaign jointly held on 11th May, 2021.
One of the highlights of the events was the lecture delivered by Bro. Ajibade Luqman on scope, manner and forms of crimes in our present-day society.
He mentioned different types of crimes, which include: personal crime (physical/mental crime), financial crime, economic crime and cybercrime, among several others.
According to Bro Ajibade, crimes are means and manners of violating the laws of the land, while pointing out the ways to shun all forms of crime in our society.
Advising the students, he said that students should be very careful about the use of computers and other related gadgets such as phones, laptops, etc, stressing the need for students to avoid bad companies and instead engage in useful activities and focus on their dreams.
In addition, he made the students understand that youths cover 60 percent of the country’s population, which means that youths have a larger number of perpetrators of crime among them.
At the end of his speech, he appreciated the Principal and the Staff for the opportunity given to the Majlis; he equally thanked the students for their attention and cooperation throughout the programme.
The programme lasted for 45 minutes as 25 fliers on Stop the Crime was presented to the Principal to share among the students.
Responding, the Principal appreciated the Majlis team for a job well done, just as he encouraged the students to imbibe all lessons they have learned that day.
The Majlis members who attended the event include Bro. Ridwanullah Yusuf (Naib Dil’a Qaid Admin), Bro. Agboola Abd’Afeez (Anfani Muqaam Qaid), Bro. Abd’Azeez Tajudeen (Imalefalafia Muqaam Qaid), Missn. Muh’Jamiu Shittu (Representing Keulere Muqaam Qaid) and Bro. Taoheed (Naib Anfani Muqaam Isha’at Qaid), among others.
